Colchester Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (CHUFT) have chosen Konsultancy to implement an automated build solution using the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
CHUFT is a large acute trust serving the Colchester area; and has been a Foundation Trust since 1st May 2008. The current aims of the Trust are supporting flexible working practices, employing systems that support an NHS Foundation Trust, reducing support and administration costs by introducing modern IT systems and reduce other costs through implementing specific medical based applications.
Reducing costs is a clear focus of any organisation but a challenge that every NHS Trust strives to constantly achieve. By introducing new technology into an environment using experts in the design and implementation stages ensures that the investment in the technology produces real benefits. Ensuring the designs meet both the business and technical needs of an organisation while following a best practice approach also involves careful planning. CHUFT recognises that an investment in a well designed infrastructure will pay divedends in the future when the aim of reducing support and administration costs are realised.
Konsultancy is able to provide the expertise needed due to the experience of working directly within the NHS and Microsoft on current best practices for use by the NHS. Using guidance produced by Microsoft in conjunction with Connecting for Health on how best to deploy technology, CHUFT will benefit from a proven methodology in providing an automated desktop and server deployment mechanism.
